This was a fun project working with the Polymer Nanocomposites Laboratory at my alma mater, Texas A&M University. Dr. Jaime Grunlan was referred to me by a friend of mine who is a PhD student in this research group–thanks Morgan!

Dr. Grunlan wanted to have the site redesigned to update the overall design (including emphasizing their research, work, and collaboration opportunities with outside industry and government groups) and rebuilt to take advantage of the newest and best web development techniques and technologies.

I worked closely with both Dr. Grunlan and several students responsible for maintaining the site, and built them a site that was responsive and built for mobile. I also configured a completely customized WordPress CMS for them to more easily update and maintain their new site.

Thus far the new site has been greeted with high praise from the group’s colleagues and other research groups alike, and Dr. Grunlan has told me that the project was a huge success.

Bristol Myers, an attorney out of Austin, TX, my hometown, was a referral from my longest-standing client, who was looking to rebuild and redesign his current blog and website. Bristol was facing some tough decisions and due to the tough economic climate that the legal industry has been experiencing, he knew he needed to make some drastic changes to his practice and his site.

It was a pleasure working with Bristol and he let me cut loose on his site utilizing the latest and greatest in web development techniques, including building his site to be responsive and flexible across many different devices. I wish him the very best as he moves forward!

I had the pleasure of working the Smith Brothers Agency, an award winning ad and digital agency out of Pittsburgh, on a local client project of theirs. This was one of two projects that we worked on together on behalf of the Village Green Partners group out of Sewickley, PA.

The Village Green Partners wanted to build a site that encompassed the charm of Sewickley and make the area easily accessible and available to everyone. I worked as the developer on this project to build out the site and implement the various features and functionality that both the agency and the client wanted. I also worked with the partners, personally training them on their new CMS, which was a lot of fun!

I had a blast working with Pinnacle AIS, a quickly growing service firm to the petroleum and chemical processing industries out of Houston, TX, on this project. They noticed a need within their niche space for a website that would pull together and synthesize all of the important news, resources, and events to keep industry professionals current.

I worked closely with them to build them this industry resource on a framework that gives them complete control and flexibility over their site. It was fun working with a group that was inspired to do something about a need they saw in their industry space.

Dinette is the award-winning restaurant of Chef Sonja Finn in Pittsburgh, PA. They do things very differently from most restaurants including providing living wages for staff and maintaining a fresh, rooftop garden for seasonal produce.

Sonja was looking to refresh their website and more fully communicate who Dinette is to both customers and award committees alike. I redesigned their site to more fully engage their customers and showcase what makes them unique, as well as put the power to edit and update the site in Sonja’s hands.

The new site will allow him to better communicate his interests and personality, and connect with his fans, listeners, and people who might be interested to work with him. If you haven’t heard him play, go do it right now–he played at Carnegie Hall when he was 11!

This project involved working with Select Premium, a rapidly growing premium finance company out of El Campo, TX. Todd, the President, wanted the website to be fun, inspiring, and informative and to update the site to better reflect what Select Premium is all about: showcasing the importance they place on service and relationships.

We spent time with their clients to better understand their needs, and from this we also created a FAQ page to save everyone some phone time and a testimonials page that all of their clients are clamoring to be on.

They are an amazing group of people and it was quickly apparent why their clients love them so much! To this day they remain my longest-standing client, and I consider Todd a good friend of mine.

The CNVE is responsible for the fostering, teaching, and research of entrepreneurship at Texas A&M University. The Center was looking for a new, fresh website that would better communicate who they are, as well as lay the groundwork for the future of the Center as they push new initiatives forward.

I was responsible for the overall information architecture and structure of the new site, as well as the content strategy and copy editing, and worked with the Mays Business School marketing department as well.
